3 Days Akagera Wildlife Safari : The 3 Days Akagera takes you to remarkable short safari tour package to adventure Akagera National Park known as Rwanda’s largest safari destination, located in Eastern Rwanda covering 1,200 square kilometers, along the international border with Tanzania. The park was established in 1934 by the Belgium government to protect animals and vegetation in three eco regions like Savannah, Mountain and Swamp.
The park got its name after the Kagera River –which flow its waters along its eastern boundary feeding into Lake Ihema and several smaller lakes Ihema and other several smaller lakes. Akagera National park is a big game site that harbors with herds of African elephant and Cape buffaloes that emerge from the woodland to drink at the lakes. On your lucky day, you can come across leopard, spotted hyenas and stray lions, giraffes and zebra.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at the Airport and transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at the Kigali Airport, you will have welcomed by one of our expert driver guide who will brief you about the trip. Then, transfer to Akagera National Park. Arrive at the park, check into your booked safari lodge and have lunch.
Later after lunch, you will drive to the park for an evening game drive where you will be able to explore animals like African elephants, lions, zebra, leopard, giraffes, hyenas, Topi, Oribi antelopes and other different wild animals. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive in Akagera and Boat Ride on Lake Ihema
Have breakfast well served at the lodge, then set out for a game drive to catch up with early morning riser looking for breakfast including elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, hyenas, giraffes and antelopes among the few. After, return to the lodge for relaxation before lunch.
Later after your lunch, you set out for a splendid boat cruise on Lake Ihema to get a chance to encounter aquatic wildlife like; Crocodile, hippos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Akagera to Kigali city
After morning breakfast, transfer to Kigali for a City tour, have lunch. Later in the evening be dropped off at the Airport to catch up with your flight.
